Spring Fling is Coming!
Did you hear the news? We voted at our last meeting to CANCEL THE AUCTION! Yes, that’s right, parents. This year we will not be gathering auction donations and making a hundred baskets. No online auction either. We will take a break this year to focus on making this the Spring Fling the best ever!
Speaking of Spring Fling… It’s time to get organized! Please come to the next PTA Meeting on Wednesday 2/29 to weigh in on the fun stuff: Where we’ll have it this year, what activities we’ll offer, what kind of food options… Come with your ideas and let’s think outside the box to make this year’s big festival and fundraiser extra fun for the whole family! |

Ms. Principal
SUSAN KIM has been principal at Valley View Elementary School for almost exactly one year. S Interesting tidbit: She was 3 months old when her family moved to the US and only spoke Korean at home, so she learned English when she started Kindergarten. Happy One Year Anniversary, Ms. Kim! Q1: Where were you born?
SK: I was born in Seoul, South Korea.
Q2: What was your first car?
SK: My dad got me a blue 1980 Chevrolet Monte Carlo when I was sixteen. It was known as the “Batmobile” in high school. It certainly wasn’t my dream car, but I was happy to have a car at all.
Q3: What do you do with your free time?
SK: When I have some free time…I enjoy cooking and watching cooking shows. Another activity I like to do in my leisure is putting together jigsaw puzzles. The largest one I did was 5000 pieces and took a couple of months to complete.
Q4: What/who is your favorite book/author?
DG: My favorite book and author growing up was “The Giving Tree” by Shel Silverstein. As a teacher, I used to read a poem from one of his books everyday to my students.
Q5: What is your favorite occupation?
DG: Principal!
